Lake county the first of the week
with the arrival of It. B. Fehren and
T. B. Mnlary from Klamath Fa.Ua,

yet been found in Oregon, preven
tive measures are being taken to
guard against its entry. The disease
when started is almost Impossible to
control before enormous losses are

where he had been working, and of
ficers say he admitted participation
in the daring noon day hank robbery
at Dayton, Oregon, on March 18,
when $12un in cash was taken.

especially rigging men, showed n noticeable increase in
most fir districts during the past week, according to re
ports from '1L employment service offices in various
northwestern cities received here today. Part of tho
demand was due to camps reopening. J
Despite the fnlling off in calls for harvest help in the
inland empire' employment three is holding at a high
point and reports indicate that there are yet more jobs
hoing offered than there are takers, although this con
dition will undoubtedly change the next 2 weeks when
the wheat harvest will have been finished.
