he had saved in America. Confiding
his good' fortune to several of his
friends, Manu Dimofr of Bontoro
invited Mnrkoff to dinner at his
home.
Markoff Is said to have enjoyed
greatly the novelty of wino with a
meal, which had been denied him
in America. The result was that
he went to sleep after the dinner.
During bis slumber he was killed
with a dagger and his host was ar
rested, charged with the murder. Po
lice sold Dimoff was plentifully sup
plied with American dollars, which
he inteneded to exchange for Bul
garian money.
