' AU too often women accept their
pains and aches as natural to their
sex. They fall to realize that weak
kidneys are often to blame for that
backache, those headaches, dizzy
spells and that tired, depressed feel
ing. Thousands bare found new
health and strength by helping the
weakened kidneys with Doan's Pills
a stimulant diuretic. This Klam
ath Falls case is one of many:
Mrs. Jeff Wilson. 1402 Oregon
Ave.', says: "I had backache and
kidney trouble. At times I had
such terrible pains through my kid
neys I could hardly go. My kidneys
acted irregularly and I felt miser
able. However, I used; Doan's Pills
and am coi bothered with backache
or kidney trouble now. Doan's have
been a great benefit to me."
A few yearsy-later, Mrs. Wilson
said: "There 1s nothing better for
kidney complaint than Doan's. I
use them occasionally to keep my
kidneys in good order."

Unadulterated luck, in its purest
form, intervened for the Weyerhaeu
ser Timber company, for a fire cov
ering an area of approximately ten
acres has been burning since Satur
day it developed yesterday, and yet
had done no damage up to the time
it was corraled last night.
The fire was located on the west
side of Aspen lake, 18 miles west of
Klamath Falls, and was burning in
holdings of the Weyerhaeuser Tim
ber company.
Due to a heavy smoke screen, look
outs could not locate the fire and it
burned among fallen logs and under
brush for five days unchecked, with
out igniting the heavy stand of pine
in the vicinity.
Two men are stationed at the
scene of the blaze today to prevent
a possible spread.

Rain on Decrase
Since June First
Itainfall in Klamath Falls since
the first day of June has been run
ning considerably below- the aver
age precipitation during that same
penon ior tne; past 20 years, ac
cording to figures compiled yester
day at the U. S. Reclamation office
The average rain for this period
was 1.20 inches whereas but .18 of
an inch wet the streets of Klamath
Falls this summer. Twelve hun
dredths of this rainfall fell during
June; six hundredths during July;
and not an Inch has yet been rec
orded for the month of August.
Any ill effects from this decided
lack of rain were counteracted In
May when Klamath experienced
wonderful rain that assured farm
ers of good crops.

Blamed for Crash
On South 6th St.
Blame for an accident at ihe
Southern Pacific crossing yesterday
was placed on Mrs. S. Obcncbain
of BIy, by Paul Arnett, whose car
was hit from behind' while he was
waiting at the crossing until a
train went by.
According to Arnett, who filed a
report of the accident with the
chief of police late yesterday, Mrs.
Obenchain could not stop her car
owing to poor brakes and crashed
Into his rear fenders.
Neither automobile was badly
damaged.

Clogging of Diversion Channel
Causes Irrigation Offi
cials to Reduce Load '
For the first time this year, water
is flowing from Lost river down
Q Canal and irrigating farm lands
on the east side of Lost river.
The diversion channel which cur
ries water from Lost It Ivor niui
diverts It Into the Klamath river,
has become weeded and clogged to
such an extent that It was felt
that it could not curry the entire
load from tho river.
So Herbert 1). Newell, project
manager, this week ordered that
the water from Klamath lake serv
ing the east side of Lost Itiver be
shut off. and that water be turned
Into t! canal from Lost river, re
lieving the heavy load In the diver-
lion channel.
How long O eanal will be used
this year. Mr. Newell could not say.
Peak of the load carried by the
main Irrigation canal was reached
last month and records show that
the load has dropped from a high
mark of approximately S00 second
feet to between 100 and 450 second
feet. I'sago of Irrigating water will
be on the decrease now until the
close of the irrigating season.
Measurements made of the depth
of Klamath lake show that the av
erage volume of storage water for
the past 20 years Is being im
pounded. Although below the average, the
Inflow of water Into the lake Is far
above the Inflow of last year. Ir
rigation officials ascribe the light
snow fall In the eastern part of the
county as the reason for the Inflow
being below average this summer.

Many Attending
Revival Meetings
There is an old time -a very old j
time revival being conducted at
the corner of Eighth and Klamath
streets. Dr. A. O. (iarr Is the 1
eyangelist. Mr. Wilson, who has ;
sung with many of the great evan-1
gellsts of the east, with a tenor of ,
unusual range, is the song leader
and soloist.
Dr. (Iarr is a daring preacher,
and evidently a daring believer. He j
preaches the Word of iod. as Peter :
and Paul preached It. and Wesley
and Finney. He does not believe It 1
has lost any of Its efficiency for
saving the soul or healing the body.
Large crowds gather from night '
to night to hear this new-old Cos- i
pel. Many have professed salva- '
tion. Not a few have been prayed '
for for healing of their bodies nnd
have testified later that they had I
been healed. Several claim the
had been given up by physicians as I
Incurable. Theqe people evidently I
believe they have received relief I
through the prayers of Dr. Clarr.
