Fair Board Makes
Money Adjustment

board In an effort to adjust finan
cial difficulties that bare accrued
The announcement of Sacred
Heart Academy of Klamath Falls,
appearing in this issue, will be of
Interest to those who are looking for
a select boarding school for their
daughters or young sons. Sacred
Heart Academy is conducted by the
Sisters of St. Francis, primarily for
the religious education of the Cath
olic children of Klamath county and
vicinity. It nevertheless receives non-
Catholic children and nothing is said I
or dono to influence the religious
beliefs of the latter. It Is the aim
of the Sisters to train the child to
grow to true manhood or woman
hood. The discipline is kind hut
firm, and special uttention is given
to the etiquette of the children and
habits of industry inculcated.
As last year was so successful in
the amount of work accomplished
and results obtained, a still more
successful year is anticipated by the
faculty and preparations are being
made accordingly.
As has been announced before, the
grades follow the same line of work
as the public schools. In penman
ship nearly fifty per cent of the
pupils received Palmer penmanship
awards, and great improvement wus
observed during the year. The
eighth grade classes take the state
examination. The class of last June
obtained the highest marks In the
county and received well merited
praise from the county superintend
ent. The high school Ib standardized
and offers work along the same lines
as any high school.
Music and art are special features
at the Academy. In music the uni
versity course is taught. It is a
course highly recommended by
northwestern authorities In music,
such as Frederick W. Goodrich of
Portland and others.
In art there is a Btricter adherence
to nature than is found in most of
the moderns. Both departments are
In the hands of very capable In
structors.
The Academy Is pleasantly located
in the heart of. the city. The build
ing Is a three-Btory tile structure,
well lighted and ventilated, and sur
rounded by ample play grounds.
About nine hundred dollars worth of
equipment have been added this
summer for the greater cotr.'ort of
classes during the coming year.

Now Expanding
The largest expansion program In
the history of Dodge Brothers, Inc.,
is now in progress.
Continually oversold since tho
business began, and particularly this
year In spite of the fact that produc
tion has been consistently In excess
of 1,100' cars a day, the manage
ment Is determined to take extraor
dinary measures (o meet the require
ments of its dealers In 1026.
Five large new buildings are al
ready under construction anil three
others will begin Immediately, It la
announced by F. J. Haynes, presi
dent and general manager.
The total floor area of the eight
new buildings will exceed 8-4 of a
million square feet and will afford
employment for several thousand ad
ditional men. The cost of the ex
pansion will no at approximately
eight million dollars.
