Real Estate Man

With the hand of death upon him,
Samuel Birdwell. aged 52 and a resi
dent of Bellingham, probably saved
his wife from serious injury when
he brought the ear he was driving
to a complete stop Saturday after
noon on the Ashland-Klamath Kalis
highway, before relapsing into an
unconsciousness from which he nev
er awakened.
Mr. Birdwell, who was a real estate
man, had come to Klamath Kalis
three days before, in the hope thai
he could secure relief rrom asthma.
Disappointed in his hopes that the
change in climate would do him
good, he started to drive back
Medford and had Jus I driven outside
the city limits when a heart stroke
caused him to become unconscious.
Miss Betty Mueller, a private nurse,
and Miss Ollsup, a nurse of the
Klamath General hospital happen
ing to drlvo by in .Miss Mueller's car;
administered first aid to the man
and look him lo the Klamath Val
ley hospital. Twenty minutes later
Jlr. Birdwell died. Tin' body of the
nan wus shipped to Bellingham this
morning where funeral services and
Interment will take place.
CauBo of death was given as
angina peelorlus.

the love of the very straight and

Miss Windsor, who wears h'r
clothes with a distinguished air,
has selected natural Kasha for ihe
coat which favors straight lines,
with a possible fulness in the
front, where a bow of the same
material ties and creates a slight
blouse. A collar of b'.ondo fox fur

without a resulting plainness. De
tails which go toward making a
coal smart are found In the odd
treatment of cuff, collnr, or panel,
and It Is these' details which lift
the coat above the commonplace.
Miss Windsor Has chosen a frock
of silk In matching tone to the
Kasha to wear beneath her coat,
and a blonde felt hat. glores and
shoes complete the accessories
which go so murh towards making
the costumo distinctive. A single
note of color is supplied In the
beaded bag. which, in Its unttsual
lines, is quite effective.
