With between three and four
hundred people in attendance, the
annual Klamath county Catholic
picnic, held Sunday at Martin Green's
raueir for Catholics of Klamath
county an3 their friends, proved one
of the most enjoyable and successful
ever held in this community. At
9:30 in the morning the road to the
beautiful ranch home was lined with
cars, which all arrived for mass
which was celebrated at 10: SO on
the lawn of the ranch home, Father
Loeser of this city officiating..
Much credit should be given ths
women of St. Mary's Altar society,
who served a delicious picnic lunch
con at noon. The afternoon was
devoted to a sports program, enjoy
ed by old and young.'whlch includ
ed sack races, three legged races,
wheat "tying contests, rooster fights
nnd tug o' war" for tho men and
women. Winners of the various
j sports were as follows:
