Not Alarmed At
- Beetle Invasion
According to an interview In the
Asotin. Wash., Sentinel, Arthur
Farrish, president of the Arthur
Farrish Lumber company of that
city, does not believe that as much
damage is caused by disease in tim
ber as some people have stated. In
'fact, Sir. Farrish declared In this
interview,, in his opinion there was
nothing to be greatly alarmed over.
He expressed the opinion that some
of the trouble is , due to the fact
that the timber is cut at the wrong
time of the year. He stated that
if the cutting . was done at the
proper time, the beetles would not
do any damage. ... '.

May Bar Zadow
From Fishing In
. The Williamson
A move is now on foot among his
fellow employes to bar T. W. Zadow,
yard foreman for tho Chiloquin
Lumber company at Chiloquin, from
fishing' In the Williamson River ex
cept on Christmas and New Years.
Tho reason is simple. He doesn't
learo any in the river. From
Christmas to 'tho Fourth ha uses a
Royal Coachman and a Blue Up
right and from the Fourth - to
Christmas ho uses a Blue Upright
and a Royal Coachman. By thus
changing tho position of tho files
once a year he fools the fish in the
last part of tho season that he might
havo missed previously.

of about 15 men will be employed in
the work.
Mill Electrician .
. Is Philanthropist
; Nearly all of the expenses of the
soda fountain at the Pelican Bay
club rooms have ' been paid this
month by Electrician Bob Kessler.
Beginning with the first hot days
of the month Kessler has averaged
a gallon of sherbet per day. As
anyone can prove by melting it,
sherbet is Just colored water. Hence
the transaction- during the month
has netted the fountain about 98
per cent profit.
