Damage Suit Of
Bill Lee Comes
Up. This Month
Whether or not R. W. Prico,
proprietor of the Crater Lake lodge,
committed a breach ot contract
when he relieved W. T. Lee of his
Job of handling the transportation
of passengers to and from Crater
Lake, will be decided In court on
July 21, when the case comes to
trial. .
Mr. Lee Is suing for approximately
$17,000 In damages which he claims
he received by the alleged breach
of contract. Wednesday, Sherirt
Burt Hawkins served a number of
subpoenas on employes of the lodgo
who will testify In the trial.

Narrow Escape On
Garfield Mountain
Just two feet separated Miss
Marian Miller from death yosterday
afternoon, as she lay on a crag suf
fering from a broken angle and
bruised leg. Miss Miller, who had
been descending Mount Garfield at
Crater Lake, foil 60 feet and nearly
rolled off the crag that impeded her
flrst'dcscent, to a second fall ot 100
feet and sure death.
She was rushed to Klamath Kails
for hoHpltai care late yesterday af
ternoon by Otto Nichols who made
tho trip in an hour and a hulf.
Miss Miller was spending a vaca
tion at the Crater Kim with her
mother, Mrs. Allan Miller of Chi
cago. The Miller family are spend
ing the summer In the west.
Reports from the hospital today
were to the affect that Miss Miller
Is resting easily.
