Cut worms have been reported as
common about the county the last
few days. The following mixture is
recommended in . 'controlling this
pest: 1 lb. arsenic or Paris green
15 lbs. bran, S , lbs sawdust, 1-2
gal. molasses, 1 or. amyl acetate
(banana oil), 3 to 4 gals water.
The arsenic, bran and sawdust
should be mixed thoroughly when
dry. Molasses, water and banana
oil should be mixed and added to
the dry materials, stirring or shovel
ing over thoroughly until complete
ly mixed. This amount of mash
will cover approximately half an
acre and should be used in the eve
ning by broadcasting, preferably by
hand after the sun has gone down.

lemons- can )e substituted for the

Stout Hatchery

By virtue., of a deal just complet
ed, Charles F. Stone is today the
owner of the Stout fish hatchery,
located four miles north of Chllo
quln on a small stream emptying in
to Spring creek. Judge Stone
bought out Henry Stout and John
Ramsdall.
The hatchery is one of the few
'private hatcheries in the state, and
the product of the hatchery is sold
o restaurants. Mr. Stout, according
to Judge Stpnt, ui-3 consented to
remain at the hatchery for several
!days. Fred CHTf will.be placed in
'charge.
