Night Show to
Be Big Feature

One ol' tin nev features of this
yoar's rodeo show Is the fireworks
display which will take place on
Lako Ewauna during the evenings
of July 3 and 4. The Kodoo associ
ation has felt that there was a' need
for some form of entertainment for
those people who do not rare to
danco and accordingly they made
arrangements with the California
Fireworks company of San Fran
cisco for this wonderful display
The fireworks will be a part of
the biggest night show and '49
camp that Klamath Falls has ever
: witnessed. Ferris wheel, shows
and concessions are now In the
course of construction at the foot
of Payne, and Klamath Alleys and
the gates to the night show will
bo thrown open to the public tomor
row night and will continue each
night, until 12 o'clock Saturday
night.
The '49 camp will offer the long
est bar ever seen In Klamath coun
ty and games of chance that will
please : the most fastidious. Of
course, the wild 'west' dance hall
will be there and with an orchestra
that has just completed "making
rocords" In San Francisco, this
place will no doubt prove popular
to the amusement loving public

Scouts who aro on the membership
drive for "Stop Forest Fire" week
which, opened yesterday havo al
ready signed over 4,000 member.
I Special awards are to be given as
honors to the scouts and camp girls
who sign up the most members by
the close of the drive. Cash prlxes
in gold and silver will also be
awarded by the association.

Indian War Vets
State Conference
PORTLAND, Ore., June 30.
Indian war veterans were, in in
formal session here today prelimin
ary to the opening of the general
pioifecr reunion tomorrow.
Tonight the Sons and Daughters
of Oregon Pioneers hold a meeting
at Central Library which forms a
connecting link between the two re
unions.
It will consider plans for dedica
tion ot the Barlow memorial tablet
on the Mount Hood loop; and will
consider arranging for a suitable
memorial tablet for emigrant park at
Meacham. J. N. Teal Is president
and It is expected that Mrs. Daise
Scott Bullock will be advanced to
succeed him.
