Miss Mildred Hill is one of the
graduating class at the U. of O.
Mr. M. L. Stewart and wife have
returned to their home near Merrill.
Mr. Stewart has been away from
here for the winter.
A railroad meeting will be held
in Merrill Thursday evening. It is
hoped to have Mr. Corey here at this
time and everybody is invited to
attend. It will be held in the Com
munity hail.
. Prof. Horner of the O. A. C. is
expected to spend some time in Mer
rill this week. Thursday he and his
party will explore some new cave
and Friday a trip will be taken
aronnd historical - points of the
Modoc war. Capt. Applegate will act
as guide- and explain the points of
Interest. Quite a crowd is expected
to make these trips. Next Sunday
evening Prof. Horner will speak in
the First Presbyterian church.

The regular monthly meeting of
the Merrill Creamery was held Sat
urday evening.
A number of the young people
from Merrill attended the dance in
Maiin Saturday evening.
A large crowd of Merrill people
attended the railroad meeting at
Malin Sunday afternoon. Mr. Hin
shaw, traffic manager for the S. P.
company and Mr. Corey, public ser
vice commissioner spoke at this time.
It Is hoped that these meetings will
produce some results. It does seem
we should have some road down in
this part of the valley. The amount
of stock and grain shipped out is
large.

Memorial Day." A good crowd was
present. Afterwards they went to
the cemetery and then followed a
basket dinner at the club rooms.
