lists ot the county, according to pre
liminary estimates of Edgar and
Lullisoa, timber cruisers, who have
been making a survey ot the situ
ation tor, the county court. -
The above flguro is based on the
fact that with only ono-seventu of
the timber area of the county emb
ed a little more than 66,000,000
feet has been found on which no
taxes are being paid, according to
the crulsors. This discrepancy ts
all due to growth within the past
15 years, since the last cruise was
taken, it Is said. '
About 85,000 acres yet remain to
be cruised. In the 15,000 acres
cruised. It was found that pine
beetles had damaged a little more
than 4,000,000 feet. . . ..
