ment to the memory of Brigadlcr
Ueneral, Hans Hcgg, the Norwegian
commander of the Fifteenth Wiscon
sin regiment who tell at the battle of
Cblcamauga, will be unveiled here
this summer during the celebration
of. the centenary of the first Nor
wegian , immigration to the. United

The statue is to be erected in the
township of Ller, the birthplace of

21 winners of the Stanford Intelli
gence tests given recently in all
public schools of Klamath Falls
which includes all Btudcnts from tho
second grade to the eighth Inclusive
in the Riverside,- Central, Pelican
Bay, Fairview and Mills Addition
schools. - '
Three students, according to Su
perintendent J. P. Wells, were pick
ed from each grado in the city from
the highest ten percent of the en
trants. Riverside school came out
with 8; Central with 5; Fairview
with five; Pelican Bay with 2; Mills
Addition with 1. In the sixth grade
division. Riverside captured all first
three places.
Second grade winners were Nor
man Hanson of Central, 28.1; Homor.
Knight. Riverside, 28.1; Bill Hunt
er, Mills Addition, 27.8.
Winners of the 'third grade en
trants were Barbara Wales, Fair
view, 38.5; Naomi Whitley, Pelican
Bay, 36.4; Marie Sewell, Fairview,
35.5. - - '
Fourth grade students winning
highest three points wore Kather
ine Chastain. Riverside. 66.5; Hil
ton C'ornforth, Central 62.3; h.

Fifth grade gave two students
from Fairview the first two places.
They were Ronald Gwlnn, 73.2;

Jean K. Bennett, 85.2; Morton
Yaden, 83.0.
From the seventh grado Riverside
students rated two first places. They
were Ben Wilson, 98.0; Irene Mur
rey, 95.5;' George Bolton, Contral,

Louise Ilotcliklns of Pelican Bay
school received the highest rating
of any school child In Klamath Falls
when she rated 100.3 in the intelli
gence test given to the eighth grade. .
Alice Harvey of Central school re
ceived a rating of 100.1 while
Junior Dennis of Riverside received
96.6 In the test.

the Royal Canadian Air Force set
a new record for safe flying last

manual . training and domestic art
departments of Klamath Falls pub
lic schools, were announced this
morning by Miss Olive Wilson nnd
Russoll Kidder, in chargo of those
departments in tho schools.
For the girls exhibitions, Mrs. R.
B. Wattonburg and Mrs. Fred Goel-
ler have consented to act as judges.
Both Mrs. Wattcnburg nnd Mrs.
Goeller are familiar with this phase
of work as they have served as
Judges on boys and girls club work
exhibits at county fairs In Klamath.
