eclipses for tho next three years.
Under the direction of Captain W.
3. Elcbelberger, V.'S. N., they now
aro starting on the 1929 eclipses.
An annular oclipse of the sun
an ecllpso where the rlni ot the sun
shows outside of the eclipsed area
Is forecast for July ,20-21, this year,
but will be Invisible '1n tho United
States'. A partial fccKpso ot the
moon Is due August ii. being more or
lens visible In the eastern states and
wholly visible on tho Pacific coast.

Thero will be no eclipses ot the
moon next year but thero will be a
total, eclipse of the sun on January
14. 1920. It will be visible on.y
from Africa' to tho Indian Ocean
and the naval observatory will send
a. party from here to Sumatra to ob

sun will bo visible-July 9-10, 1926.
