Called by the serious illness of
their daughter, Mrs. Cecil Cross,
who submitted to a major operation
n a Klamath Falls hospital. Mr.
nnd Mrs. D. R. Warner and son of
Grants Pass ore In the city today.
According to the wire received by
Mr. and Mrs. Warner, blood poison
occurred following the operation.
While making the hurried trip over
the mountains. Mr. Warner became
ill and Is confined to his bed at
present. Mrs. Cross was reported o
have spont a restful night.
BIG TROUT CAUGHT
BY RANCH EMPLOYE
A live minnow In Klamath lake
yesterday proved too much of an
attraction to a six and 3-4 pound
rainbow trout,-with the net result
tliat.M. H. Jackson, employe on the
Illoomlngcamp ranch Is In posses
sion of the trout.
Jackson was fishing off the dock
nt tho Bloomlngcamp ranch, which
borders on the southwest shore of
the lake. The large; trout quietly
gobbled the minnow and when Jack
son finally realized' that the trout
was on, the minnow was swallowed.
It took Jackson five minutes to
haul the big fish In, and before It
was finally landed, Jackson's, pole
was nearly broken.
