And in tho continuous procession

mreamed In from Klamath river and
Wllllummn river, the only two
slreama that could be easily reached
by car.
Taking everything and everybody
into consideration, the fishing was
poor. A half dozen baskets full of
rainbows wero cuuxht the Klam
ath river by dlr.t of conscientious
fishing all day long. Too many peo

lie of wutcr p mrtke It Interesting,
It was rcporte.l.
Anglers on the stretch of water
from tho Kno dam, a half mils up
the river and one mile -down, were
tho most successful. Several score
of fishermen, on the theory that no
body would bo fishing that stretch
of water, tried It on tho Klamath
river below McColluiu's mill. Hard
ly anybody could lay clilm to more
thnn two rainbows.
The number of f'shcrmcn on the
lOairath river was hard to estimate,
louring tho middle of the Jay, cvpry
god hole was fished by six or
sevrn nnelers. '.
The river was exceptionally
murkv. owing to sprHig freshets
pouring Into the lake. Rain, sun
and spring winds alternated 'thro
urrhoitt the day.
Access to tho many small trout
streams in eastern, western and
northern Klimnth, but off the main
highways, was Impossible due to the
condition of the roads.
