" -Felix Hcftl, for tho last two sea
sons' with - tho Anno Creek Lumber
company, has filled every Job .In tho
woods for a good many seasons, and
never met with serious injury. But
when it comes to the feeding cr
poultry, and especially geese, Follx
draws the line.
' Near Felix's ihouse there is a large
gander confined In a pen with a
bunch of chickens. As soon as the
atttw went off last winter, and the
first green grass began to appear,
Felix got In the habit of picking
green grass each day and foeding
the gander. All went Well until
Wednesday, when Felix leaned a
trifle too close to the wire not-
tlng, and received a vicious Jab in
the eyo, and another peck on Urn
wrist -before he was ablo to get
beyond the reach of the long neck.
The Incident, though highly laugh
able, -wauld have been a serious
matter if the ganders bill had
struck a half inch higher, for , the
force of the blow would have cer
tainly blinded the eye. ''
