at 11 a. in. has special music Un

also registered from Sir Arthur Sul

enjoyed by the. members of the Me-
thodist church . Missionary society, I
when they met at the home of Mrs.
L. N. Haines at 1125 Main street
on Thursday afternoon. More than
30 guests were present to hear Mrs.
Whitman, mother of Avard Whit
man of the high school faculty,
speak on China and Chinese cus
toms. Mrs. Whitman Is a foreign
missionary who has returned recent
ly to the United States from her
work in Kaylnj, China. It was on
this work and the training of child
ren in the Christian schools that she
especially spoke. The group', will
meet again the second Thursday In
May.
