NEW! YORK, April 10. Babe
Ruth is out of danger, but whether
he will be out of the hospital in
time for the opening game of- the
baseball " season next Tuesday Is
another question one that his phy
sicians are inclined to answer nega
tively. . , '
This word came to3ay from St.
Vincent's hospital where the home
run hitter Is a patient. Babe is be
ing treated for a cold, a touch of
influenza, another touch of indiges
tion and a bump on the back of his
head. The latter is the result of his
fall In the Pullman washroom 1
fall which physicians at first thought
had caused a concussion of the brain,
and possibly a fracture of the skull.
Tbey were certain today, however
that the bump was all- that Ulled
Babe's head.
- Ruth's doctor said he had spent
a restful night. At 10 a. m. he
was b!IU n'nlnep. A bulletin Issued
at 10:15 o'clock by Edward Barrow,
business manager of tho New York
Yankees said that Ruth was "slight
ly Improved," although his tempera'
ture was st.'ll a "little high." .
