George Fawcett. one of the most
notable character actors cf tnc
screen, plays the part of a skillful,
j but unscrupulous lawyer in "The
Price of Pleasure," Universal-Jewel,
co-starring Virginia Valli and Nor
man Kerry now showing at the Pine
Tree Theater.
Miss Valli plays the part of the
shop-girl bride of a young million
aire, played by Kerry, The picture
has a number of comedy angles.
Louise Fazenda, Kate Lester, T.
Roy Barnes, James O. Barrows and
Mario Astaria are in the cast, which
was directed by Edward Slonvan.

anticipation.
But she's doomed to disappoint
ment for they're to be "props' and
elephants aren't allowed to cat

eoler for the big circus story, "The
Great Circus Mystery," a ten epis
ode Adventure Picture which conies
next Saturday to the Pine Tree.
A complete circus was set up for
the new picture, thriller of life In
the sawdust ring. Bonomo, the
famous strong man, plays the prin
cipal role, as the giant performer
who "doubles In brass," filling every
role from strong man to lion-tamer.
'Louise Lorraine Is the heroine
and Bob Seiter, brother of William
A. Seiter, the noted director plays
the juvenile masculine lead.
AT THE LIBERTY
The Liberty Theater Is to be con
gratulated upon securing such an
attraction this week as "Lash of the
Whip," the first of a series of four
new "stunt" productions.
The star part of "Pinto Pete" Is
that of a Robin Mood of the Old
West, the kind of running, , lump
ing, leaping athletic role that made
"Doug" Fairbank's fame. His only
weapons are his resourcefulness and
a short-handled,, long-lashed "bull
whip," the lash of which, wielded
with marvelous nccuracy, Is reputed
to be deadly. He takes from the
rich and gives to the poor, rights
the wrongs of the oppressed, and
punishes the oppressors, Tonight
only at the Liberty. ,
