manuscript of a Beethoven wedding
song was recently found attached to
another manuscript In tho posses
sion of tho firm of Brcltkopf &
Haertel, Beethoven's musical publishers.
The song was composed on the
occasion of the marriage, Feb. 6,
1819, of tho daughter of Ginnnat-
nnasio del Rle, principal of the
boarding school attended by Bee
thoven's nephew Carl.
- All trace of the song had been
lost until an employe of Urletkopf
& Haertel searching for Beethoven's
piano concertos written in the mas
ter's hand. The song was fastened
to one of them by a clip.
