noon at the Ewauua Box factory
when a carelessly thrown cigarette
set the elevated tramway between

Juke D. Allen, manager of service
organization of the Oregon state
chamber of commerce, arrived here
yesterday for a vllt of a few days
and twill confer with officials of the
Klamath county chamber on work
that is to be doue here during tbe
coming year, especially in regard to
membership increase In the organiza
tion. Mr. Allen will probably be
the speaker at the Wednesday noon
forum luncheon of the chamber.

CUTS IN GAS RATE
NEW YORK, June 23. Gasoline
price cuts are reported from various
parts of the country. The Standard
Oil company of Kentucky reduced
the price two cents a gallon In that
state. ' Also In Georgia, Alabama,
Mississippi and Florida. The Stand
ard OH company of Ohio, made a re
duction of one cent a gallon at ser
vice stations. . This Is the first cut
since November.

HURT IN ACCIDENT

was slightly injured this morning
when he tell from a pole at the
Copco sub-station on the west side
of Link river. Ltppert's iujuries are
not serious. He was taken Imme
diately to the Klamath Oeneral
hospital.
