IN WAGNER CONCERT
BAYREUTH, Bavaria, Aug. 21.
Grandfather,' father and son will be
represented on the programs which
Siegfried Wagner will direct In his
American tour, beginning In New
York next January. His concerts
will consist of compositions by
Ilzst, who was Siegfried Wagner's
maternal grandfather, of, the works
of his father, Richard Wagner, and
of his own contributions to the
wealth of classic music which has
been created by the group of wbch

Siegfried Wagner, has signed
agreements to conduct concerts in
New York, Philadelphia, Boston,
Chicago, Cincinnati, San Francisco
and several other cities for the
purpose of raising funds for tho
restoration of the Bayreuth Wag
nerian festivals next year. He will
conduct the local symphony orches
tras in .the cities " named, and In
addition engagements will be made
for him to direct these orchestras
in neighboring cities, 1

first performance of his own porea,
"Die Baerentmeuter," to be given
at the Manhattan opera housq in
New York January 29 by the Wag
nerian Opera company, which visit
ed America last season. This com
pany will return to America from
Germany in the early autum und
open its season in Washington Oc
tober. 15. Herman Well, formerly
of the Metrolopltan opera; Maria
Ivegun, of the Chicago and Munich
operas; Rudolph Klttcr, of the
Stuttgart opera, and a number of
other new singers have, been en
gaged by Atnlvln Dolborg to sup
plement the company which ap
peared )at season in America,
Josef Stransky will servo as guest
