seven passenger automobile, wreck
ed and spilled Into the Spokano
rlvor near . here In a road .accident,
was recently salvaged after lying
for four days jjnder 20 feet . of

K The car was little damaged, con
sidering Its watery burial. - Two
spare tires, In addition to the four
on the wheels, were fully Inflated.
Upon removal of the spark plugs,
the -air still compressed In .the cy
linders shot water several Inches
high. . As a result of . rolling about
on the river bottom, It was found
that the car had suffered break
age of tho fenders, lights, .top,, and
one spring, but tho body finish was
apparently in almost perfect con
dition. Motion picture photographers and
several hundred other persons watch
ed the workmen haul the car from
Its grave. .
