I I BBal B To Klamath County Chamber of Commerce KLAMATH FALLS, ORE. October 5, 1922. We the undersigned employees of the Southern Pncif i c Company in Klamath Falls and Klamath County .believe that our interests, tho interests of the Company which employs us nn d the citizens and business people of this County are the same. We are vitally interested in the final disposition of the C cntral Pacific properties. Should the Central and Southern Pa cific lines be torn apart the Central Pacific which serves this com munity being forced to operate independently would be a finan cial weakling. ' Such a condition would be a grave misfortune for us an d wc believe it would be a calamity for this County and State. We are therefore taking the liberty of respectfully petitioning y our honorable body to intercede for us, for the Company employ ing us and for this community with the Interstate Commerce Co mmission to the end that the Central Pacific and Southern Pa cific may continue to remain as one system financially strong an d vigorous. When this has been accomplished the Company will imm ediately begin that major construction work long neglecte'd on account of litigation. This will mean much in the expenditure of funds in thi s community for supplies and labor. 'in this the employes of the Southern Pacific as well as t he citizens of this County will be permanently and substantially benefitted : ' 1 's NAME J. J.
