ANOTHER MEETING

Tho meeting ot tho Klamath Irrl

er users 'yesterday In the offlco ot
the secretary, A. C. Wlshard, result
ed I11 tho culling of another meeting
Tor Saturday afternoon, December 10
In tho ssmo place.
Thoro was a great doat of discus
sion ot tho various' phases ot tho ad
ministration which finally centered
on the main question at lssuo, tho
1921 district assessment, when Di
rector -Bradbury Introduced a resolu
tion providing that the assessment
bo revised to conform to tho law.
This was lost by reason ot tho opposi
tion' ot Fred Fletchor, the attornoy
for tho district. Opposition to tho
motion lay In tho atorney's statement
that there was not sufficient time
to revise tho assessment and place
It In the hands of the assessor for In
scribing on the tax rolls ot 1922.
'Director Marshall made a motion
ttiajj Sections 4 and G ot the resolu
tion be adopted which carried. They
were as follews: ,
That negotiations be at onco cpen
ed with the officials ot tho United
States Reclamation Service, asking
thai all charges accruing by reason
ot contracts', for collection under
1911 assessments, bo suspended.
That tho books ot tbe district bo
audited and a system ot accounting
Installed that will provldo means ot
ascertaining the financial relation be
tween each 'land owner and tho district.
