threshing rigs, was for JamcB Dixon,
who threshed nearly 6,000 bushels
of wheat and cuts on his placo.
A farmer named Bushong living
near Keno, secured 76 bushels of
oars per aero from seed obtained
from Corvallls. To got this ylold,
Bushong kept his two boys In tho
grain patch constantly scaring off
tho blackbirds who bothered tho
growing grain, Pellett said.
Tho ownor ot tho rig threshed
nearly 6,000 bushels ot grain on his
placo on tho Merrill road threo miles
south ot this city. Quality was tlno
for both wheat and oats. Threshing ,
prices per bushel ran from 6 to 10
cents.
