Questions havo arisen amlong tho momborahlp concerning v the defini tion of tho Legion's policy of absolute neutrality In politics, tho states and posts being at variance in their in terpretations of tho ruling. Tho Wyoming Department has proposed an amondmont to tho constitution to allow "protection of tho candidacy of any porson sooklng public otflco when his oloctlon would, in tho Judg mont of tho Legion, promoto tho pur poses for which tho Loglon was or to its constitution, Tho Legion is pledged to" law and order" and "neutrality in disputes between capital and labor," jt is pointed out. The Leg: Ion in California, Texas, Arizona, Washington. Colorado . and Neb raska has supported the enactemnt of laws prohibiting land-holding by tho Japanoso. Washington Legion- alrros wont on record as favoring tho return of all Japanese In this country to thetr natlvo land. Whothcr the Legion will stand for civil servlco preference for world war veterans not only In appointments but In promotions is expected to i for decision. Almost every Legion stato conven tion has passed resolutions demand ing tho return of tho slacker Berg doll, and this point, with a review of the publication of slacker and draft deserter lists, will come up for discussion. It is believed llkoly that tho movoment for tho releaso of Eu gene V. Debs will also bo consldored.
