to Klamath Falls, Ore., and through
tho Bcenlc attractions of Crator Lake
National park In Klamath county,
is now assurod. This road will he
constructed for an all-year highway,
and will eliminate many miles of
mountain road now in nee via Top
sy grade. .
Members of the Klamath county
eourt and the Siskiyou county su
pervisors, together with citizens
from both Klamath and Siskiyou,
counties interested In this proposed
highway, met at Klamath Falls last
wook and decided upon the Weed,
to Klamath Falls route through
Butte valley in preference to the'
old Topsy grade road.
From Weed north to Bray $10,
000 has alroady been spent by the
Weed Lumber company in putting
that end of vthe highway In good
condition. It was understood at
the Klamath conference that the
two counties would build thotr re
spective portions as soon as possi
ble, thus completing a short cut for
tourists into tho sconle wonderland
of these two counties before auto
mobile travel begins next summer.
Annually thousands of nutomo-l
biles from California and other,
western states traverse the diffi
cult roads leading into the Crater'
Lake National park and the Modoc
lava beds in Siskiyou and Modoo
counties. Fishing and hunting aro
tbo principal nttractons that draw
tourists Into this country, but the
unoxcollod beauties of mountainous
scenery, lakes and streams is the
incentive for many auto parties that
each yoar spond a vacation horo.
In laying out tho route for the
now highway eovoral bad mountain
climbs will bo eliminated, .including
Haystack Hill. Not only will this
new highway prove a groat oBset to
this locality in tourist travol, but
It will enable local people to roach
the outside by automobile during
twolvo months of the yoar, a thing
now impossible '
SULPHUR IS BEST
TO CLEAR UP UGLY
Any breaking out or skin irritation
on face, neck or body is overcome
quickest by applying , Mentho-Sul-phur,
says a noted skin specialist.
Because of Its germ destroying prop
erties, nothing has ever been found
to tako tho place of this sulphur
preparation that instantly brings ease
from the itching, burning and irrita
tion. Montho-Sulphur heals eczema
right up, leaving the skin clear and
smooth. It seldom falls to relieve the
torment or disfigurement. A little
Jar of Montho-Sulphur may be ob
tained at any drug store. It Is1' used
like cold cream. Adr.
