There's no doubt about that, if it is carefully se lected, properly treated and worked and subject to rigid inspection, but no natural product can have such absolute uni formity as a manufactur ed product. It has been proved by experience with thous ands of batteries over a period of several years, that those protected by Threaded' Rubber Insula tion have longer average life. A surprisingly large number of the 35,000 batteries so protected that were put into service over three years ago, are still in use. This fact alone testi fies to the importance of insulation, for it is a rec ord that has probably never been equalled, and was made possible only by the protection given to the plates by this improv ed form of insulation. If either or both are ' out of order, then your car is out of commission. These facts are so well known to practically every owner of a car, that it seems trite to state them in print, but I have noticed that even though owners know them, they don't heed them.
