"The achlerements of tho splendid troops from California are too well known to need repetition here. The memory of their deeds will never perish. Tho dash and spirit which enabled them to achieve are powers that can be sustained only so long as vigorous health and enlightened patriotism avnll. Workers Share in Profits Under New I Law in Mexico MEXICO CITY, Sept. 23. Tho federal government will not Intervene in an effort to have the Vera Cruz legislature modify its law recently passed permitting workmen to share in the profits of aay industry within Mhe stato, (Secretary of the Interior Calles has made a statement to this effect. Secretary Calles says that in such matters ths states are sovereign, add ing howevor, tbat tho law Is not as drastic as described by Its opponents.
