logged-off and burned-off lands of
tho state through tho use of a large
.mount of picric acid which tho gov
rnment has mado available for the
J.ind-owner, according to a statement
fasued by Cbarlea Hall of Klamath
Palls, president of the Oregon State
Cbnmber of Commerce, following tho
recent notification from Washington
that Oregon has been allotted 192,
00 pounds of this explosive.
According to govornment bulletlne,
yterle acid Is of greater strength tban
djmamlto and Is safer to handle. It
H an explosive which was used in
tho great war, and with a great buc
yles on band at the conclusion of the
war, tho government, decided to turn
ft over to tho different states en a
lasts of tho amount of logged-off
land In each stato.
Land-owners of the state must
