the Yellow Warbler were weaving
their nests preparatory to hatch

The Cow Bird, who usually sim
plifies parental labors by depositing
eggs in the nests of other birds, was
depositing them in tho Oriole ncats
The Cow Bird usually moves in on
hi friends in April.
Tie Western Fly Catcher was dis
covered in one nest. This species,
the Investigators said,' was usually
through hatching and bound for the
farthest south in April.
Mr. Horron attributed the late
Beating and hatching season to the
cold, stormy weather in April, when
many birds abandoned their nests,
apparently believing .that winter had
not passed.
