' Mr. Dewey Is the retired president of the First National bank of Nampa. H. D. Hill and father woro In the city yesterday from their ranch In the Mt. Lakl district. F. D. Arnold, assistant cashier of the Mercentllo Trust company of San Francisco, accompanied by his daugh ters, Helen and Ruth, and son Al bert, left this morning for Shasta Retreat to finish a pleasant vacation which was started in Klamath coun ty. While here ihey were accompanied around the county to Crater Lake and then to Medford by Jack Thompson, manager of the California-Oregon Power company. Mr. Thompson was associated with Mr. Arnold In the trust company offices In the Bay city. Mr.-and Mrs. R. L. Watts left this morning for San Francisco after a brief visit with Mrs. Watt's brother, J. A- Martin and family of this city. Mrs. A. O. Grahom, and small daughter, Delpblne, left this morning for Meridian, Mississippi, where they will visit relatives. They will be gone some time and will visit in Now Orleans before returning home. L. D. Jackson was a county seat visitor yesterday from Spring Lake, when he operates a good sized farm. Mr. and Mrs. James Blair, R. K. Cook, and Miss Gilbert spent Sunday t Crater Lake. Miss Evelyn Foster, who has been here visiting for several weeks with her sister, Mrs. Alfred Collier, left this morning for Portland. Mrs. Martin Green and daughter spent yesterday in the city shopping. Tom Moore was a county seat visi tor yesterday afternoon from Swan and Mrs. Lem McKontlo and family drove Into town yesterday from their ranch near Olene. George Ager made n flying trip Into town this morning from his ranch on the Keno road to purchase supplies. W. D, Ord of Sacramento, repre senting the Standard Oil company, la in town on business tor his company this week. C. If. Bullen and son, Carroll, and Mrs. R. L. Osborne of Portland wero in Klamath Falls yesterday on their return trip from Los Angoles whero they attended th'o Elks National con vention. They will go from here to Bend and on to Portland by way of tha Columbia highway. Mr. Bullen Is a member of the Concrete Pipe com pany of Portland. A wedding license was Issued Mon day to James L.
