Ill HAWAII HONOLULU, Territory of Hawaii, July 5. Press associations ad organ itatlona of newspaper men and writ- era in everr country are Invited to aend official delegates to the Press Congress of the world, which meets for its 1M1 session at Honolulu next October. The Executive Committee of the Congress has provided for repre sentation of such associations on the basis of one voting delegate for every 20 members in their organiza tions. The names, addresses and pro fessional connections of delegates snouid be reported to Dr. Walter Wil liams, president of the congress, who la dean of the school of Journalism of the University of Missouri at Col 'umbla. Special concessions in transporta tion and hotel accommodations which kar been obtained for the Journal ists who will attend the meeting at Honolulu will be reserved for accre dited delegates holdlna- credential i- ued by the Executive Committee and Igned by Doctor Williams. Only those who hold credentials will havo a voice in the business sessions at Honolulu or will be the guests of the Hawaiian government and press in their elaborate entertainment pro gram. The Executive Committee's provi sion for representation Jn the Con gress is such that every bona fide newspaper man or woman In overy country of the world may obtain dele gate's credentials. Regarding this question the Congress constitution ays: "Workers in every edpartment of Journalism, in every country,' who are engaged in promoting highest standard and largest welfaro of the press, are eligible to membership." The spirit or this clauso has been closely observed in Jho commltteo'a definite plan. In addition to press associations. nominations of delegates also may bo presented to the Exocutlve Commit tee through Doctor Williams by newspapers, msgsxlncs, and Institu tions such as schools ..and depart ments of Journalism devoted to train ing for newspaper and magazine work.
