1'AOK K1VJ3 THE EVENING HERALD, KLAMATH FALLS, OREGON TUESDAY, APIlUi B,"lMSI. Will History Repeat Itself in Klamath Falls? TEN YEARS AGO The timber resources of Klamath county were well-known to every resident. Everybody knew that the development of those resources meant prosperity, and profits; not only to the promoters and operators, but to every business man, working man and property owner. They also knew that it would take money to build and oper ate saw mills. Did the citizens of Kla math Falls get together behind the sawmill propositions and finance this development and hasten the prosperity and profits? No. They waited for out side men with vision, nerve and capital to come in and produce prosperity for Klamath AND PROFITS FOR THEM SELVES. Who will reap the big pro fits from Klamath's timber resources? Not the residents of Klamath of ten and fifteen years ago. They did not have the foresight to see the possibilities, or the nerve to bet their money They Weyer hacusers, the Long-Bell, the Montensens; the Goldthwaites end others with nerve and foresight, came in and seized the opportunity that Klamath's own citi zens were blind to. TO DAY the same opp6rtunity is before us in oil. The opportunity of the business man, the farmer and the working man, (the very ones who will benefit most by the general prosperity) to get behind the local companies now being orga nized and assure themselves of a share in the big profits which would follow oil development. Will they do it, or will they wait until oil is gushing out in Klamath Valley? It will be too late then; The Standard and other big ones with capital, vision, and nerve will have it all grabbed up by that time. HOW ABOUT YOU? Are YOU going to pass up the opportunities in oil, just as you passed up the opportunities in fimnoi"? ....Bw . DON'T. BE ONE OF THE TOO LATERS! See Kelly Today! CRATER OIL GAS CO.
