Owyhee.

visit with "Dad" Allen, In the bat
tle between tho Kearsargo and tho
Alabama, Midshipman Allen is de
clared to have fought side by sldo
with Midshipman Dullock, scion of
a distinguished family and relatlvo
of Mr. Roosovolt's mother. Allen Is
crodited with having saved Bullock's
life after the Alabama had gone
down, keeping him afloat until help
arrived.
Allen after tho war bocame a
wanderer, according to his friends.
He lived in Alaska prior to coming
