Ho had reached tho ago ot 70 years, and was entitled to retire on an an nuity under tho retirement net of May 22, 1920, being tho first em ployee, ot tho Reclamation Sorvlco en titled to retire under this act. Mr. Hoguo cama to Klamath Falls In Juno, 1905, and wn assoclatod with tho Reclamation Sorvlco until his resignation. Ho served as chief clerk from November 1, 1905, to March 3, 1920. Mr. Horuo has been ftctlvo In local affairs. During tho war ho was n membor, and later president, ot tho local Dpfonso Committee Ho was also a trusteo ot tho local school board for many years, and has been oloclcd n Ufa elder ot tho Prosby torUn church. Mr. Hoguo enmo to Oregon In 1878, and first located at Albany. Ho was paymaster ot tho Corrallls-Eastorn railroad during Its construction. Later ho was tho manager ot tho Albany Light & Water Co. Ho was also manager and part owner ot tho Magnolia Flour mills. Mr. Hoguo Is a man of fino char actor, a loyal employee ot tho Re clamation Service and a respected citizen In the community. Ho leaves Klamath Falls with tho best wishes of his acquaintances and fellow workers.
