Oats, clean, good, heavy oats, 20
quarts; Strychnine, (powdered alka
loid), 1 ounce; Bicarbonate of Soda,
Paste, pint; Heavy Corn Syrup
4 pint; Glycerine, 1 ounce; Sacchar
ine, 14 ounce; Salt, 4 tablespoonful.
This material should be mixed as
follews: Mix dry, one ounce pow
dered strychnine and one ounce of
baking soda. Make a starch paste
ef: Stir one tablespoonful of gloss
starch into one-half cup of cold wa
ter, 'then pour it into one-half pint
of boiling water and cook Until a
thick, clear, transparent pasto is
formed which Is free from lumps.
When paste is formed, add the dry
mixture of strychnine and soda.
Stir until thoroughly mixed. Add
one-halt pint of heavy corn syrup
(Karo is best). Stir in four table
spoonful of salt. Add one ounce of
tho Southeast corner of tho SWfc of
the NEU of Section 7 in said Town
ship and Range; thenco West one

glycerine (mix well). Add, while thence irt a westerly, and northerly
stirring, one teaspoonful (or one-1 direction along the present b.iumh.ry
eighth ounce) of saccharine. Pour, line of the Enterprise Irrigation DIs-

clean, heavy oats and mix until each
kernel is coated. For convenience in
handling, the grain should now be
spread out to dry, stirring it up oc
casionally to prevent drying in a
cake .
One quart ot tho poisoned grain
mixed as aforesaid is sufficient for
forty to sixty baits and this quantity
scattered along squirrel trails or on
,clean hard places on the surface
about the holes will not endanger
stock. Strychnnle in any form other
than the powdered strychnine alka
loid is not effective in the above
formula.
From the date hereof until May
15 is the most effective time to
poison and destroy the Ground
squirrels
trlct to tho point of beginning.
NOW THEREFORE all persons in
terested in or who may bo effected
by tho inclusion of said lands and
change of boundaries of said Enter-'
prise Irrigation District are heroby
given notice to appear at tho office'
of the Board of Directors of said DIs-J
trict at Number 1G Loomis Building,!
Klamath Falls, Oregon, upon Tues-i
day, the 4th day of May, A. D. 1920,

The Heider
Is the most reliable and economical Tractor, because
there is only one 12-20 4-cylinder tractor in the
United States with as big an engine and that one is
supposed to pull five plows, instead of three, and
costs twice as much. Another reason for Heider
servicability is that twelve years of use in the hands
