HERE IS ARMENIA'S WAR RECORD :
w
ii
The' Armenians had an army of 200,000 irj the Russian Caucasus. They served not only under the Czar, but under Kerensky, and stood fast even
after the Bolsheviki had destroyed Russian government, and the Russian armies elsewhere along the Easterrrf font' had retired from the field.
Turkey asked her Armenian subjects to induce the Russian Armenians to rise against Russia. Turkey promised the Armenians complete independence
after the war, and Germany guaranteed it If this proposition, had been accepted, the Holy War, Jehad, would have blazed forth. 265,000,000 Moslems
would have been united in a compact mass, supplied with' German arms and .ammunition. 10,000,000 Turanians (Moslems) in Eastern Russia would have
attacked Russia in the rear and compelled her withdrawal from the field. The little 'Armenian army in the Caucasus, although deserted by her allies,
promised food and ammunition withheld, stood rftanchly throughout the days of despair when the French were driven back upon Paris and the British
upon Calais, Armenians prevented the fusion 'of the Mohammedan races, with the consequent destruction of Christian civilization. Read what General'
Allenby says about it -,-.
For five and a half months Armenians held Baku against the combined attack of Tartars and Turks, preventing the Germans from securing the
much needed supply of petroleum for the airplanes from one of the largest oil fields in the world. Ludendorf says this lost Germany' the war! This
fidelity to civilization was the immediate cause for the wholesale massacring of the helpless, unarmed and innocent Christian population of the Turkish
Near East, in which over two million Christian and Jewish people were slain. '
' vwwwwv
What has the world done in recognition of this heroic service? America has procrastinated and argued over the League of Nations has TALKED
and left Armenia to bleed. her life away. NEAR EAST RELIEF, lacking the support of the League of Nations, is now calling on you to take action to save
Armenia in any event Relief and political action, looking toward the establishment of Armenia on an independent basis, form a joint program. But you
must do your share you must not fail to give NOW or there will be no Armenia to save. ,
J
You Never Gave One Dollar to Armenia Before the War
Until two years after the war began America had never been asked to give a dollar in relief to Armenia. Oh yes, you heard about the suffering over'
there, BUT YOU WERE NOT ASKED TO GIVE! You may have given to your church mission, but that was not relief work. You are asked to give now
only until,' through combined relief and "political action, Armenia can be placed on a self-supporting basis. The .program of the NEAR ESAT RELIEF is:
First, relief; second, rehabilitation; third, reconstruction. Until they were ruined by the Bolsheviki, wealthy Russian Armenians, alone and unaided, car
ried the entire burden of relief in Turkish Armenia. Give them relief now, and a united Armenia will' stand again like a mighty wall against the Moslem
menace which has overshadowed European civilization for 500 years.
