Dear Sir:
At a special meeting of the Business Men's Asso
ciation called for that purpose on October 21, 1919,
careful consideration was given to the proposed agree
ment to be made between your Union and our Associa
tion, and upon regular ballot the following resolutions
were adepted:
)
"Reselved: That this association and the
individual members hereof do not accept the
proposition of (he retail clerks .as to hours
and employees and do not disjplay the Union
Card in their stores.
"Reselved: That the Secretary of this As
sociation advise the President of. Local 459 of
the .action taken at this meeting."
In view of the foregoing I am returning to you
herewith the tentative agreement and Union" Store
Card sign left with me by you.
