Tomorrow the people of th- county
-will he called upon to decide the
fate of the road construction program
of this rounty If they decide In favor
of Issu.ng bonds for the construction
of permanent roads, then Klamath
county will immediately take her
place a. .long the leading counties of
the state, for the live counties of
Oregon are joining the ranks of the
good roads enthusiasts and voting
Vondh for carrying thru the big road
program outlined by the Highway
commission. The voting of the bonds
will mean that there will be brought
Into Klamath county three dollars of
btate and government money for
(-very dollar we spend. It will also
mean that the increased values by
reason of new highways will be suffi
cient to absorb the additional taxes,
to tnat the present rate will never
le raised and more than likely It
will be lowered.
In addition to voting the bonds, the
people of the county should vote fav
orably on every reconstruction mea.i-
ure that is being submitted for their,
approval Not one of them but has
the indorsement of the thinking men J
of the'state. Two In particular that
are deserving of your consideration '
are the Roosevelt highway and the!
granting to the state of authority to
get back of tho Irrigation bonds. !
