M. Calkins of Jackson County In the case of the State ver sus Houbton Cox, a negro porter at the Medford Hotel and the case re manded to trial. Cox carried liquor from the train to the hotel in a suit case with other baggage and was convicted of hav ing liquor in his possession. in a dissenting opinion Justife Burnett holds that the prohibition law lias been emasculated by a maj ority decision written by Justice Johns.
