We planned last nlgbt under the spell of the harmony to write this story up to music In a way that would really bring out the charm of the entertainment, but we can't seem to get any melody out of the doggone typewriter at all this morn ing. The blame thing won't even chord. The basso profundo sounds dlsgusto, three pegs are gone out ot the rourtisslmo and the back spacer alnt working very well either. We realize the few notes that we shall be able to make will sound pretty flat, besides, to the others who were there, but we are here to offer a few words of hearty praise for the Uni versity of Oregon Glee Club which delighted a full house last evening at the Houston Opera House. Tt ts seldom that an entertainment of this character is available to the local public and the appreciation was shown In the attendance. The program, which varied from heavy chorus opera work to the amusing college pranks which are al ways bubbling out of a group of this kind, found receptive hearers In every Instance and no number was allowed to got by without at least one encore. These boys aro gifted with un usual talent along musical lines and they show the results ot exacting training under the direction of John Stnrk Evans of the school of. music.
