of Commerce to study the Klamatn
Falls situation and to compile and
submit plans for getting railroad
connections thru to this point, either
by the Natron cutoff or by the Stra
horn project, will be made in a few

Reports received from Klamath
county show that shipments from
that district totaled 2407 carloads
of shooks, 1371 carloads of lumber.

and 4S1 miscellaneous, representing
11 total export trade of over $1,000.

the Natron cutoff, the Chamber of

The big road progrartvfor Klam
ath County has already been started
by dragging of the hlgbwayj In near
ly all the localities, according to
County Iload Supervisor Thomas Dix
on, who states that this work Is now
about completed and that the big
new tractor and grader wjll be
started right away on the road from
the outskirts of towri toward tbe
poor farm, where repair work Is
badly needed. Repair work will al
so be undertaken on the Olene rota
nt an early date. There will be no
new construction until some of the
old highways are built up, It Is stat
ed. The first new work which will be
done, will be the completion of the
cindering of tbe road to Pelican
Hay Sjw Mill on the Upper Klamath
Lake at PelicaiPcitr, -which was
blocked by weather conditions last
fall. This work will be commenced
as soon as tbe snow on tbe west side
of the Lake has melted sufficiently
to enable men to get out tbe cinders.
It is reported that there are still
three feet of snow in that district.
Tbe County Court is In session
