The num bers In attendance and the test with which everyone entered Into the spirit of the affair was certainly Indicative of the unity of purpose actuating this community In the Red Cross drive. The music waa excellent, and a feature of the evening not only to those trip ping the light fantastic, but to thoae, voluntarily, on the aide lines. It waa to be expected that some mistakes would occur. In a work of this magnitude and with the number of cards and number of work ers, it Is surprising that there have been so few. Our oftsce force spent almost the entire time since the close ot tbo campaign on May 4th. checking and rc-checklng thla Ust, and we have endeavored to correct every error call ed to our attention, and will continue to correct errors aa they are called to our notice, and give aa fall publicity to the correction as haa been given to the publication of the .list In some In stances report cards have not reached headquarters from the precincts, in others we have discovered duplicate cards In the fllea. We have aaked each precinct captain to check carefully the Hat In his precinct, and promptly re port all errors, and we will be glad to have others call our attention to the matter when they discover an error, The cards will be in our possession for some time before being turned over to the government, and we desire to correct all mistakes and apologise for making them, as we have never claim ed to be Infallible, but have done the best we could under all the circum stances.
