Nebraska Leads In War Stamp Returns WA8HINOTON, D. C, April 24. Nebraska leads all the states In War Saving Stamp contributions, both In amount and In per capita sales. That state, the treasury department reports, has turned In one tenth of the Nation's April 1st total of $149,361,792. Oregon ranks well up toward the head of the list, standing fifth in per capita sales of 12.23, on total sales of 11.925,926.57. New York Is second to Nebraska's 114,343,991, with $12,273,783 total sales. The District of Columbia, how ever, exceeds New York's total record with n per capita contribution of f3.73, second only to Nebraska, which shows a per capita of $11.06. New York state Is twenty-ninth in per capita, showing, with $1.13. Since the beginning of April, on which the foregoing position of the states Is based, the treasury depart ment shows an average of War 8avlng receipts of $2,600,000 a day. which Is a rate of $800,000,000 a year, and the! rata Is rising.
