For the thrifty housewife who
wants a better cooking oil
MAZOLA
The American woman demands quality even when she
thinks most about economy.
That is one reason why Mazola, the pure oil from corn, for
deep frying, sautiing, shortening and salad dressings is now used
in thousands of homes in preference to butter, lard or suet.
And since the Food Administration asks us to save these
fats the housewife is especially glad to have a cooking oil which
is so pure, wholesome and economical.
Not one drop of Mazola is wasted it can be used over and
over again as it does not transmit taste or odor from one food
to another.
I It it as pure and sweet at the most delicate fooJ cooked in it and it makes fried
foods more eaiy to diueat free from creasiriess or soggincu.
Use Mazola for your talad dreulnp, too makes them especially delicioue.
Get Mazola from your grocer in pint, quart, half-gallon or gallon tin. The
Urge sizes give greatest economy. Alto atk for the free
Mazola Uook ot Kecipes or write us aircn.

TOKIO, March 20. The Interest in
America and in Rurope In tho possi
bility of Japanese Intervention In the
war Is duplicated In Japan, whore the
question of the dispatch of an army
to Siberia not only overshadows ev
erything else, but has created a na
tional problem not approached in Im
portance since the Japaneso war.
The correspondent in this connec
tion is reliably Informed that Japan,
after the frankest exchange or views
with the allies, is still studying the
question and has not decided upon its
policy.
Representative opinion among the
Japanese regards the situation ns
serious and as fraught with posslblll
.tea of danger to the safety and na
tional Interests of Japan, as well as
to the causo of the allies. Tho chaos

rising factions on the border ot Man

counts that German officers have been
seen In the ranks fighting with the

has encouraged the press more vigor,

' In Japan, the war has created a
grave question by the stendy rise in
the prices of food and other neces
saries, causing Increasing hardships

Hut browing at home is mussy and
nut-of-dato. Nowadays, by asking at
any drug store for a 50 cent bottle of
"Wyeth's Sage and Sulphur Com

preparation, Improved by the addi

be depended upon to restore natural
color and beauty to the hair.
A well known downtown druggist
says it darkens the hair so natural
ly and evenly that nobody can tell It
has been applied. You simply damp
en a sponge or soft brush with It,
and draw this through your hair, tak
ing one strand at a time. By morn
ing the gray hair disappears, and af
ter another application or two, It be
comes beautifully dark and gloasy.
