Johnson, who was a member of the local party assisting there yesterday. Alex Roseborough, Chas. Riley, Dr. George Cathey and Clarence Under wood left on the train for Weed this morning to work with the men there, who are organising that district to day. It is believed that as Weed is the junction through which ctery one coming Into this district by train must pass, that cooperation between the Klamath two districts is very necessary. There are also Indications that this sort of organization Is being taken up In Portland and northern sections of the State. Every man in Oregon registered under the selec tive conscription act should know just what to do If his number is drawn and he is called for service on the first draft, soon to be made. First, he should learn at once, If he has not already done so, the new red ink serial number of his registra tion card. He can learn this by ap plying to his local county exemption hoard. As soon as the names of1 the men rto be called from Oregon on the first draft are known, the local exemption board In each county will post a list of the men drawn from that county. Oily la counties' that have already Wiled' their full quota thru volun teers la the regular army and Nation- Will this aot be dona. WM(fMsj9tloR boards will also send notification, at the address on bis registration card, to each man called. This letter will direct the man drafted to appear before the board for physical examination on a specified date. Whether or not the man called In tends to file a claim for exemption or discharge, he must appear without fall on the date named. If be desires to file a claim for ex emption or discharge, he has seven the call to present yourself before the board. After having filed your claim, how. ever, you will still have ten days In which to file proof. All proofs roust be In the form of affidavits. Upon ap plication the board will give you the official blank forms for these affida vits. Have the affidavits properly made out and return them to the board within the ten day limit. Another Important fact to rcmem- days In which to do so fromber la that county exemption boards the day the call to him was mailed I cannot consider claims for Industrial and posted. The procedure Is more 'exemption. Such claims must be made simple than Is generally supposed. First, if you come under the ex empted class, go to your exemption board and ask for Form 110 for ex emption, or Form 121 for discbarge (men having dependents apply for discbarge instead of. for exemption). Second, fill out the proper form and to one of the three district boards that will sit at Portland, at La Grande and at Eugene. Moreover, claims for industrial ex emption cannot be filed with the dis trict boards until the county exemp tion board has certified and post ed your name as one who bss been file it with the board. Third, do this called for service and not exempted within stvaa days of the posting ofior discharged. kICUX, CHI9AM This picture Is a little trick of the photographer, for the picture of Lieu tenant Chlsum sitting on his alrplano Allccn was taken on the French front, many miles from tho peaceful scene where Miss Alleen Fiider was photo graphed In her (Jeorgla home.
