provision of the act which prevents
boys who lack a few months of being
fourteen years, who could fill many

to be working a hardship to both em
ployer and the boys. Mines through
this district also are experiencing a
severe shortage of labor.

leaders of the Scottish Rite Masonry
are gathered here today from all over
the United 8tatea to celebrate the
"Jubilee year." which marks the semi
centennial anniversary of the union
of the Supreme Councils. Scottish
Rite Masons, of New York and Boston.
At 4 o'clock this afternoon the Mas
sachusetts Consistory will work the
twentieth degree in the Scottish Rite
and nt I o'clock the twenty-first grade
will be exemplified.
